Youtube Marketing Company

Friday, November 14th, 2008

Youtube recently started putting out search strings on people’s embedded flash videos.  Just when search couldn’t get anymore competitive for Microsoft or Yahoo.  Below is a screen capture I took:

Video search is going to outgrow regular Google search during the next few years.  Steve Balmer was right when he recently laughed about Yahoo Search saying, “Why would I buy Yahoo when their search engine hasn’t changed over the last few years and that there is nothing so amazing about it anymore.”  Google is the company to catch and they keep rolling out search innovations such as the one above.  This can only spell good things for Youtube publishers with large channel subscribers.  We recently worked with Michael Buckley on developing BuckHollywood.com - but sadly had to end our relationship because Banner Blindness is growing so quickly.  With BuckHollywood.com we helped develop a wildly popular forum, over 1500 email subscribers, and 1000’s of word press members.  I wish the best of luck to Michael Buckley as he continuous producing hilarious Youtube clips and a pilot for HBO.  Additionally, if you are interested in online product placement or online sponsorships - I believe Michael is interested (so contact him and tell him Banner Blindness sent you).

If your company is looking to produce unique content, online video testimonial production, web commercials, etc… for Youtube and other online video sharing websites - a.k.a…other websites you can market on.

New York subway romance goes viral across the web

subway romance subway romance

The above website, NY Girl Of My Dreams, is a great example of a non-commercial message that went viral online.  I was suspicious of this website and story when I first read it on Yahoo:

yahoo

I figured it was a lead in to Yahoo Personals, but it was a news story from Reuters.   Quite a way to find love in today’s chaotic and internet age.  The website is a simple html page with what looks to be a hand drawing.  Anyone can create a website like this, but how do you make it go viral?  How did this tall skinny-dork and subway rider get his website out to millions of people in New York, the US, and now the world?  Did he start with craigslist?

Please leave your comments on how you believe this tall skinny dork was able to viralize his romantic campaign.
