Subway 911 Call in Florida reflects Subway’s terrible food
The man above called 911 after getting pissed off about Subway’s terrible food and customer service. Can you honestly blame the guy? He is most likely a tax paying citizen and has every right to call 911. After listening to his 911 calls it took local police almost an hour to get there. I find it annoying that this story has made national headlines and the media is chastizing this man. He was simply trying to get what he paid for. He is probably poor and hungry - do we have no compassion for the needy in this country? He was even polite to the 911 employees. This customer was ripped off by Subway (as thousands of American’s every day are) because the owner/operators rip you off by giving you very little meat and condiments. I say kudos to this man for having the balls to call the police on Subway. Because Subway really sucks. Leave your comments on whether or not you like Subway. I so agree with you, he didn’ assult anyone, he didn’t steal anything, he just wanted his money back. He did the right thing to call the police. What is this country coming to, we put people in jail who feel they have been wronged. Are country is becoming a communist state.

Hey man - there’s no way thousands of Americans (strange that you think Subway only operates in America) are ripped off because they portion the ingredients like the slices of meat and cheese and they even have a CLEAR COVER over the ingredients so you can see what they’re making and how many of each ingredient they place on the sandwich. In fact, I think if you talk to a manager they usually allow you to increase (extra peppers or lettuce) and decrease (light mayo or light teriyaki sauce) the portions. So don’t go around dissing Subway when they are being run by perfectly respectable, courteous, PROFESSIONAL sandwich artists. You think Jared ever had a problem? Not a chance, and look how he turned out. Living proof.
Also, it’s 911, not the Subway consumer complaint line. If he didn’t like the service, he can talk to the manager, or go to a different store, or eat his sandwiches without the sauce and learn a valuable lesson to stop spending his paycheque at the liquor store so he can buy groceries and cook instead of relying on Subway for his nutritional needs. I AGREE. 911 IS FOR EMERGENCY USE ONLY. IF SOME NEEDED 911 FOR AN ACTUAL EMERGENCY AND THIS MORON HAD THE LAST 911 LINE TIED UP, IT COULD COST SOMEONE WITH AN ACTUAL EMERGENCY THEIR LIFE. MISUSE OF 911 IS A CRIME, SPECIFICALLY IN CASES SUCH AS THIS “MENTAL GIANT”. HE WAS JAILED FOR MISUSE OF 911, WHICH IS ILLEGAL FOR A REASON, NOT FOR COMPLAINING ABOUT HIS SANDWICH. TO SAY HE SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE POLICE IS IGNORANT. YOU DO NOT CALL THE POLICE FOR “LACK OF SAUCE”. IT’S NOT A CRIME TO HAVE MISTAKENLY LEFT SAUCE OFF A SANDWICH. LAW ENFORCEMENT HAVE ENOUGH ACTUAL CRIME TO TAKE CARE OF TO DEAL WITH SOMETHING STUPID LIKE THIS. I agree that whoever wrote this blog is a total idiot. They said this guy was so out of it that they locked him out of the store. This was stated by the police. Funny that no one has ever read a story like this before. Maybe he was so high on drugs and thats why he dialed 911 like a total retard. The writer really needs to get his head out of his ass. I love Subway, they have a great product for a great price. You see it made in front of you and you can ask for more if you want. Go to Quizno’s if you don’t like it and after you spend $20 or more you’ll go back to Subway.

Subway Moron should’ve asked for the manager, maybe he did but no one knows how he asked.
The person(s) defending this idiot well, I sure hope you feel so inclined to pull the same stunt and end up in the same predicament, while sitting in the jail you might realize how stupid it was and that 911 is for Emergency only, the mere fact that you agree with subway moron makes me think you might not get it. There more than likely is a Quiznos less than a block away, doesn’t seem like an emergency to me.
Just the other day a man beheads a guy on a bus for no aparent reason (people defending this subway moron might think the people on the bus should’ve called greyhound customer service to make a complaint - not intending to make a joke out of what happen there but putting the point out that THAT IS A REASON TO CALL 911), subway moron guy obviously gets upset in a store where there are possibly other customers, men, women, children etc. creates a scene, not just in this country but the world over, people are doing crazier and crazier stuff - lock him out, call the cops - lock him up.

The reason police didn’t respond, is because not having mayo on a sandwich is NOT an emergency. The staff at the Subway restaurant were wise in their decision to lock this lunatic outside, to protect themselves, and perhaps other innocent customers. The angry man was irrational and could have harmed others, no matter how “polite” he was on the phone to 911. He could have simply put mayo on at home, or gone back into the store and they would have gladly slathered as much toppings on as he requested. My experience is that Subways are clean, safe, well-run, and abide by strict standards of cleanliness and performance. Occasionally a store will err or fall short of the standards, but as a whole, the food is healthy and fresh, the staff is friendly, and the stores are clean. Bravo to the wise employees that took the correct action and protected themselves, other customers, and the store!!

I am absolutely shocked at whoever wrote this blog and the comments that supported it. 911 is not to complain about not getting the proper sauce on your sandwich. He could have just called the normal police number (call the operator if you don’t know it) which is for non-emergencies. This is not an emergency.
If it had been me, and I got improper service, I would have just asked for the manager’s name and put in my complaint to them.
This person should have been arrested, because someone could have had a real emergency while this person was trying to explain his sandwich woes 3 times to 911 operators.

Lets be honest how many people would really like to call the law when the service is horrible, probably everyone but do we, no we take that crap with a smile and never go back. Why didn’t he just call there corp office and file a complaint, loser. I feel sorry for him for now because he will always be know as the crack head that called the cops on subway.
