Senator Byrd’s tearful speech about his beloved “Ted” is the culminating work of one of America’s most prolific politicians. Senator Byrd has achieved what no other American politician has ever achieved - the longest serving and oldest Senator. Senators are very much the same as “Senators” in ancient Rome used to be. They were rich, influential, and powerful; just as American Senators are today. I find it amusing that Senator Byrd is still so “with it”. I get the feeling that Senator Byrd has so finely mastered the art of politicking; that his recent “powerful” performance at the Senate Finance Appropriations Comittee sent haters back to their caves like the parasites they are. Senator Byrd is literally an old crazy person, but still knows how to “politic” when he has too. In the finest of Roman fashion’s Senator Byrd, like Plato, was able to give a tear moving performance in front of the “political power crowd” and more importantly the masses of the nation (or plebes in roman times).
